Last winter there was ice and snow. The perfect ingredients for snow and icekiting. In the video below you can enjoy winter kiteboarding action.

Last November I went with Jelle Hak and Lisette Blankestijnto Cumbuco in Brazil. Here we went to go kite surfing at sea and on the lagoons.

Twice we have been traveling together with Jelle Hak, Jerrie van de Kop, Tijn van Esch and Annie Jong. The first trip we went to Jericoacoara and the second trip we went to Barra Grande, unfortunately Jerrie went back to the Netherlands already.

We have obviously had a wonderful time and here are a video which provides proof.

Monday, December 20 I was doing some Icekiting at, “de grote wielen” a lake near Leeuwarden. The wind was just enough for a 12 meter kite to ride back and forth. The weather was brilliant sunshine and realy cool, nice!

At one point there was a working photographer. I asked him if he worked at a newspaper and that was true. I came along a few times and I asked if the pictures came in the paper. He told me that he had a lot of beautiful pictures so I didn’t know whether one was placed or not.

Today I was called by my father and he said, “you were standing nice on the Frisian newspaper”. Turned out I was on the front page of the newspapers. Below is a picture of the newspaper.

Last year I was in Brazil during the winter. Here we did some filming, I finally it put into a movie.
